Sausage Week

In association with ‘National Sausage Week’ the Food Technology Centre ran a competition to readers of the ‘Daily Post’ and ‘Holyhead & Anglesey Mail’ which gave the general public an opportunity to come up with their own sausage recipe. The entries were shortlisted and a winner was selected. The winner was given the opportunity to come into the centre for the day where her winning sausage was developed and cooked. During the sensory stage of the winning ‘chocolate and chilli’ sausage ‘Blas’ of Radio Cymru interviewed the winner and members of staff. A follow up article in the ‘Daily Post’ and ‘Holyhead & Anglesey Mail’ was written with regard to the winner along with what facilities the centre had to offer.
