Dolgellau and Pwllheli Campuses Gearing Up for Huge Community Events

Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s Dolgellau and Pwllheli campuses are gearing up to welcome hundreds of local people to their Community Engagement Events on Saturday 11 and June and Saturday 18 June respectively.

They will be fantastic days out for all the family with a host of exciting, high-tech learning experiences and workshops going on to suit all tastes…from fun educational activities to live music! What’s more, everyone will get a free goody bag and be in with a chance of winning a pair of Beats Studio earbuds!

The fun-filled events – which take place from 11am – 2pm - will aim to bring together the people of the towns and surrounding areas and give them the opportunity to find out more about the campuses.

The events are free, open to everyone, and are aimed at:

  • School pupils in the Dolgellau and Pwllheli areas looking at their options for September
  • Parents who want to visit the campuses to view the facilities and speak to staff
  • Local residents who are interested in what the campuses have to offer
  • People who are interested in getting a job or starting a new career
  • And finally…families who just want to have a fun day out!

During the events – at the Dolgellau campus on June 11 and the Pwllheli campus on June 18 - you will be able to try out a whole host of exciting activities, whilst tantalising your taste buds with a wide range of delicious food options.

You can tour the facilities, speak to staff about courses for September, and you’ll also be able to take part in a range of STEM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) activities including coding, robotics and engineering.

Some of the highlights at the Dolgellau campus include: Bird Box Building; 3D Printers; Clay Boats; Hair and Beauty Salon; STEM Activities; Electronic Babies; Kids’ Play Area, and Gardening Stall (Sales).

Whilst over at the Pwllheli campus, highlights include: an Ice Cream Van; Live Music; Sports Activities; 25 Years History Display and STEM Activities.
