Rhyl Students Gear Up for Skills Olympics!

Rhyl College students are relishing the opportunity to test their skills against their fellow learners at the upcoming ‘Skills Olympics & Careers Fair’, which will take place on Thursday 7 April at the Rhyl campus and is free for all to attend!

Gold, silver and bronze medals – as well as a range of trophies and prizes – will be handed out to those who excel in a range of academic and vocational areas, including A-levels, Motor Vehicle, Construction, Health & Social Care, Public Services and Business Administration.

The ‘Skills Olympics’ will also provide the Rhyl learners with the chance to showcase their skills to a range of employers and gain much-needed experience in a competitive environment, giving them the confidence to enter future Welsh, national and international competitions.

Visitors will get the opportunity to watch the various competitions and also get information on the future £11m Engineering Centre of Excellence, which recently got the official go-ahead by Denbighshire County Council.

The college would like to thank the numerous sponsors for their support, as well as local employers who have signed up to take part in the Careers Fair on the day.

The community event is free for all to attend and will take place from 9.30am – 2pm on Thursday April 7th at Coleg Llandrillo’s Rhyl campus, Cefndy Road, Rhyl, LL18 2HG.

We look forward to seeing you on the day!
